In the name of God Amen the eighth day of January in the year of our Lord 1716/17 I Stephen Maberly of Luckington in the County of Wiltshire Tanner being weak in body but of sound and perfect mind and memory praise be to God therefore and bearing in mind the mortality of my Body, knowing that it is appointed for all men onto to dye, do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament, it is to say first and principally and I commend my Soul into the hands of God who gave it, hoping through your merits of our Saviour Jesus Christ to have pardon of my sins & my body I commit it to your Earth to be buried in a Christian like and decent manner at the discretion of my Executrix hereafter named and as leaving such world the Estate as it hath pleased God to bless me with in this life I give and dispose thereof in the following manner.

Item: I give and bequeath unto my son John Maberly the sum of one shilling.

Item: I give and bequeath unto my son Stephen Maberly the sum of one shilling.

Item: I give and bequeath unto my son William Maberly the sum of one shilling.

Item: I give and bequeath unto my daughter Ann Maberly the sum of one shilling.

As a token of my love and affection to be paid to them and oath of them by my true and loving wife Ann Maberly, my Executrix.

Item: All the rest and residue of my goods and Chattels whatsoever lands or money I give and bequeath unto Ann, my true and faithful wife whom I constitute make and ordain my only and sole Executrix of this my last Will & Testament utterly revoking and making void all former wills , Legacies & Ex?????? By me before this time any way made or bequeathed ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my last Will & Testament in witness thereof I have hereunto put my hand and Seal this day and year above written Anno Regni Domini Rex George 2nd.

And my Will is that my Loving father, Stephen Maberly of Garsdon in the County of Wiltshire Tanner and Edward Hathaway, Victualler of Pucklechurch in the County of Gloucester be Trustees of this Will confirming them in the Name of God to accept and be careful of my Wife and Children and for their pains therein I give to each of them five shillings.
