This is the last will and testament of me Ann Mabbarley of East Garston in the county of Berks Spinster. First I direct that my just Debts Funeral and Testamentary charges and expenses may be fully paid and satisfied by my Executor hereinafter named. I give and bequeath to Mary Brooker of East Garston aforesaid Widow All that my Leasehold Estate and premises situate at East Garston aforesaid consisting of two Cottages and about One acre and a half of land now in the occupation of Henry Canning William Fielder and George Brooker and called by the name of Bridgemans which estate and premises I now hold by Lease for the lives of John Adnams and Robert Pontin under Sir Francis Burdell Baronet and which was bequeathed to me by my late Father Thomas Mabbarley deceased to hold to her the said Mary Brooker her executors administrators and assigns for and during all such term estate and interest as at the time of my decease shall be to come therein to and for her own and their absolute use and benefit. And I do hereby direct that the said request to the said Mary Brooker may not in any way prejudice my claim upon her for the sum of Fifty pounds in which she is now indebted to me and which sum is secured to me by her ___ of hand. Also I give and bequeath the Legacies or sums following that is to say Unto Ann the wife of George Mattingly of Edington in the said county of Berks Wheelwright the sum of nineteen pounds nineteen shillings To Sarah the wife of Samuel Street of West Shefford in the said county of Berks Timber Merchant the like sum of nineteen pounds nineteen shillings To Catherine the wife of William White of Marlborough in the county of Wilts Baker the like sum of nineteen pounds nineteen shillings Unto Robert Norton of Wickham in the parish of Welford in the said county of Berks Labourer the like sum of nineteen pounds nineteen shillings . Also I give and bequeath unto Mary Adnams, John Adnams, Anne Adnams, Sally Adnams and Hannah Adnams all of the said parish of East Garston the sum of fifty pounds sterling apiece. Also I give and bequeath my Household goods and furniture in and about my House at East Garston aforesaid unto the said Sally Adnams and Hannah Adnams in equal shares. All the rest residue and remainder of my personal Estate and effects whatever and wheresoever and of what nature or kind soever the same may be or consist at the time of my decease I give and bequeath unto my sister Sarah Adnams of Pounds Farm in the said parish of East Garston Widow to and for her own absolute use and benefit. And I do hereby appoint the said John Adnams sole Executor of my Will and hereby revoke all former and other wills by me at any time made. I do declare this only to be my last will and testament. This Will was proved at Oxford on the fourteenth day of May in the year of our Lord 1839 before the Reverend Thomas Edward Williams Clerk MA Surrogate of the Reverend Richard Francis Onslow Clerk MA Official Principal of the Reverend the Archdeacon of the Archdeaconry of Berks lawfully constituted by the oath of John Adnams the Executor therein named to whom Admon was granted being first sworn duly to administer.
